Will Durant explains in his Story of Civilization that civilization is transmitted by the culture from adult to child. Civilization is itself not something that is inherent or born into humanity, it is something that is developed, grown, and built upon from one generation to the next. Thus the famous quote by George Orwell, “Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past”. How culture, the story of who we are as Americans, is dictated is controlled by those in power today.
It’s that power, control of schools, religions, and especially history that dictate the story that will be transmitted from our generation to the next. This is why the left has taken charge of educational institutions, to indoctrinate the youth into a new culture of their own creation. It’s also why many on the right try to fight back with a brand of patriotic evangelism that in itself does little to combat the real threat of transmitting the goals of the American Revolution… a revolution that is not yet complete.
The attempt to take down the monument to Robert E. Lee in Charlottsville, Virginia is a continuation of the lefts war on American ideals and a battleground for their changing the transmission of information. Yes, I understand it’s contradictory to defend a statue that seemingly stands as a tribute to a violation of America’s most valued principles of freedom; but that’s just one perspective. Our Civil War has another perspective however. Those who built the statue in 1907 weren’t trying to advertise that blacks belonged in the cotton fields, they were taking a stand against a growing central government whose power to thwart their personal liberties grew greater every day.
A narrative of southern culture steeped in hating black people by protecting Civil War monuments is a false idea and a lie perpetuated by leftist academics and politicians whose real goals are the destruction of our past. I’m not talking about people like Howard Zinn who portrayed the less positive side of American history in his The People’s History of the United States; a book that’s more of an expose of the dark side of American exceptionalism. I’m talking about leftist who actually conspire to destroy the very foundational principles of our history by whitewashing why things happened.
For example, American history in many public schools now starts after the War of 1812. I think we can agree that if any history needs to be taught, it’s the reason we became a country. How colonialists lived, their values, why and how they lived is essential to understanding America today. This is the culture that brought us the Constitution, Thomas Jefferson, and federalism. It’s the era that integrated the governmental principles of Native American tribes and turned them into our balance of powers. But then again, not teaching this era will change the transmission of culture to better suit the socialist fad of the radical left.
With all of this, how exactly can President Donald Trump really respond to the situation in Charlottesville? Based on what you have read so far, agree or not, do you think our current President could carry on a serious conversation about this? No offense to our business-man-in-chief, but he’s no historian and we didn’t elect him to be. Unlike the press however, who’s a part of INGSOC, the President did convey a balanced response to the situation.
As you can see in this clip, our President made the futile attempt to offer a balanced discussion by daring to mention how left wing terrorists arrived in helmets, paramilitary uniforms, armed with bats and clubs. Leftist control of the narrative allows them to lie about violent white nationalists causing riots over the statue of a slave owner who they clearly admire. Because the President dared to highlight the violence committed by leftist agitators, he was shunned, had people resign from his advisory boards, and has been made to look incompetent.
Trump’s response to the situation was reasonable, balanced, and appropriate. It would have been easy to go on television, talk about how evil Neo-Nazi’s are and give some kind of civil rights speech. Instead, he waited, got the facts, thought of an appropriate response, and then said something. I still can’t believe he didn’t tweet something incredibly stupid and insensitive. There’s a chance he’s finally learning!
The response to Trump’s comments have been overwhelmingly negative. Because of the need to control the minds of American’s, the Presidents ardent refusal to stay silent about left wing terrorism had the media in a firestorm. The sad reality is that leftists are supposed to be given a pass when using violence on people that are unpopular or disliked. Since there were white nationalists at the protest in Charlottesville, that makes it ok to abridge their rights and beat the hell out of them.

And that’s the difference between the patriotic warriors of the right and left wing terrorists. We believe in freedom of speech, no matter who’s speaking, because we can’t have a free country without it. But, liberals teach the incoming generation that it’s ok to deny certain people’s rights if they are “mean” or “racist” or whatever else the case may be.
That’s why you have college campuses with “safe spaces.” Because certain speech is offensive and you have to be protected from it. Protected by who? Big Brother, that’s who. It’s Big Government that has to protect you from ideas that are contrary to the “party”. When was the last time any of these white, mostly mid to upper class liberals, actually witnessed real racism? The folly of the leftist ideology of hate is that it requires indoctrinating our youth into a completely false sense of justice in places where injustice doesn’t actually exist.
Any Republican President would be called a racist right now. The hard part for President Trump is that his last few months in office haven’t had the classy slick political theater that usually accompanies White House administrations. Most of our elected “leaders” are slick politicians who are skilled in covering up the nasty stuff under a euphoric cloud of patriotism and manifest destiny. Trump is like a white republican NWA. Unlike the pretty presentations of an R Kelly or Barry White, Trump keeps it real.
But being straight-outta-business helps Trump fight this culture war because his brashness taps into the simmering anger of the forgotten white classes. These are demographics that have seen, like the black inner cities, their schools defunded, opportunities killed by layoffs and globalism; while being given the blame for all the systemic and institutional problems in non-white communities. So when the President highlighted that things would be better with the continued economic upturn, he hit on an important point.
Socialism and its successor, communism, depends on deeply divided veins of have’s and have not’s. This class warfare along economic, religious, and in our case ethnic lines will only be possible with strategically planned economic collapses or incidents of racial tensions. So when you hear what a son-of-a-bitch the President is, you have to keep in mind he’s not just up against a crude and hateful media, he’s working against centuries old conspirators who want to derail America’s great destiny, and destroy all of our freedoms along with it.
